"Clever Girl"

Hi I'm Jason. Here was the thought process:

The blog had to have an interesting title, not some fancy quote or book title I really enjoyed because that would be too generic. Literature is about pushing boundaries and expanding viewpoints, and although certain pieces fall into the generic pool, a select few makes one think. Oh, and nothing to do with the title of this course, the blog needed originality. All great pieces of literature are arguably original, or unoriginal but written in an interesting, original style. I needed a fresh title because the title tells all – what I will be blogging about, how I am feeling about certain literary pieces. That’s it. Anything more excessive would come across as romantic or wordy.

Keeping the idea simple, I wanted to name the blog something creative, so I combined my attitude towards writing (blahhhh) and what this blog would be about (literary musings) to get my blog title: Literary Musings Blahhhh. Then, I added a g at the end of “blahhhh” to get “blahhhhg” that coincidentally (and I am so proud of this) sounds like “blog.” Thus, what I am blogging about, my feeling towards literary pieces are both addressed. The new posts later will complete this masterpiece. A side story --

I had a professor last quarter who told me a story. Do you all know that movie, the one with the genetically engineered big lizards? I think it was called Jurassic Park. Anyhow, in one scene where a man is hunting down the smart and fast carnivore, I believe it is called a raptor, more specifically a Velociraptor, and they are both quiet and the man is crouched in the grass waiting to shoot. Well, what happens? The man is standing there waiting to shoot on the raptor, hears rustling in front of him. He waits patiently for about 3 seconds trying to focus his eyes on the target until he hears heavy breathing to his left. VELOCIRAPTOR! The man then gets devoured --

So that’s exactly what this blog will do. Eat. You. Alive.
